NR: Where are you guys from?
Aaron: We are from Portland, Oregon.
NR: What are your hobbies?
Aaron: It kind of depends on funds. I would love to do a lot of things but a lot of the times I don't have the money.
Kelsey: Go to the movies. Fish. Do free things like walk around or... Bike. So a lot of free things that don't cost any money.
NR: What artists do you like to tour with?
Aaron: We are happy to be on this one. We like Facing New York. We tend to be out on diverse tours. We go out on tour with punk bands and heavier bands and softer bands. We like to have fun and if they like to have fun too then it's going to be fun.
NR: How did you come to sign to Hopeless Records?
Kelsey: Just through friends, connections and people we knew.
Aaron: They got a hold of our record and dug it. It was almost two years ago.
NR: Do you plan to re-release "Do you know that People Can Fly?"
Kelsey: Eventually yes. Would would love to.
Aaron: It will happen eventually. With our trailer being stolen last year we lost all of them. We want to release it again with maybe some new artwork and stuff. But it costs a lot of money. Hopefully we will re-release it.
NR: How did you become involved in the "Take Action: Vol 4" compilation?
Kelsey: Just through Hopeless and Subcity. They choose what band and what song goes on the compilation. Eventually we would love to be on the tour.
NR: With the studio diaries do you ever plan to release them on DVD?
Aaron: Eventually yes we would love to but it deals with funds. That was the whole idea of going in and doing them. Eventually the whole plan is to release footage from the last album and the new album with some tour footage as well.
NR: The music is very positive. How and where do you find draw the positivity from?
Aaron: Chris writes the lyrics for the most part. That's just kind of the band that we are and want to be.
Kelsey: Just personality. We are like this naturally.
Aaron: A lot of people draw inspiration from negative things that happen to them. That is the direction music has gone recently. It wasn't something that we sat down and discussed.
Kelsey: We stopped trying.
Aaron: Its just what Kaddisfly is.
NR: What can fans expect from "Set Sail the Prairie?"
Kelsey: Whatever you want to get out of it. There is a lot of different tiers. So it depends on how much you want to take in. I'm really excited.
Aaron: We have really progressed as who we are as a band. This is the album we have always wanted to make. We were very excited to release "Buy Our Intention And We'll Buy You A Unicorn," and we still really like the album. But we are really excited to release this album. Taking a look back on it though the new album is going to be a whole different ball of wax.
NR: What are your touring plans?
Kelsey: After this tour we are going home for a couple of weeks. Then we are setting out on a East Coast trek with 3.
Aaron: We will be home for a couple of weeks in September and then we will be back out on the road again. We are doing CMJ in New York and that will be in late October. We will probably be out through that and then head back home for the holidays. Those tours haven't been planned out yet but we are working on it.
