Marilyn Manson - Eat Me, Drink Me
After a couple of years Marilyn Manson is back with a new record, which is more mellow but still has the dark sound. Eat Me, Drink Me is one of the few records put out by Manson that is an all around gothic record. The lyrical shock content from Manson's past records like AntiChrist Superstar or Holywood is not portrayed in the Eat Me, Drink Me album. When I heard "If I was your Vampire," I imagined that I am in a castle owned by Anton Szander LaVey and that is all he is playing. It's very dark and mellow, not over the top as some would expect it to be, especially from the guy that gave us "Angel with the Scabbed Wings." The one up beat track that was used as the single for Eat Me, Drink Me, "Heart Shaped Glasses," has a disturbing feel to it if you listen to the lyrics closely. You could easily compare this record to, now made famous by Bam Margera, H.I.M. as both Eat Me, Drink Me and H.I.M. are very dark and are focused on the front person of the music act. Don't get them confused though as Manson is still up for controversy as he released the video for "Heat Shaped Glasses," which has yet to be edited for a MTV audience at this time. Manson proves he can go away from music, reinvent himself, and make outstanding music and stir up the music scene.

Masters of Horrors : Pro-Life
This is the most controversial of The Master of Horrors series, so far, with the hottest topic in the Untied States dealing with religious views. John Carpenter's, Halloween, is a contribution to the second season of the Masters of Horror series, Pro-Life, which tackles one of the most abject horror film topics--abortion--with absurdity, showing how humor can be rooted in disgust. Fifteen-year old Angelique (Caitlin Wachs) Burcell has been raped by the devil, and seeks an abortion at the local abortion clinic in this homage to Rosemary's Baby. Unfortunately, her right wing Christian father, Dwayne (Ron Perlman), is not only pro-life, but also has a psychotic belief that she is about to birth God's child which justifies fighting his way into the clinic with guns to prevent Angelique's operation. Two doctors are shocked to learn that they can't exterminate the evil spawn, as they watch it bulge and buck inside Angelique's belly. Graphic birth scenes coupled with the Devil's visit to the clinic to meet his newborn will cause both laughter and repulsion. The baby, with human head and six crab-like legs, crawls around the operating room floor until he meets his demise. Demented as it is funny, Pro-Life contains less metaphoric horror than the Alien series, but has a similar aesthetic. For those who appreciate mutant birth scenes, Carpenter's rendition will satisfy. This movie blew me away with the intelligence that went into making it happen.
Metaform - (Self-Titled)
Forget your worries and have fun with Metaform. You can take this CD for what it is. You can choose to take it seriously or not. None the less, it's good music and that's the bottom point. Metaform is an unique blend of old school hip-hop roots with a new spin of his own to create this album. With the first two tracks "Get At Me" and "Filly Mo" you can here the diverse sound which he brings to the music. Metaform is setting a creative bar in music and looking beyond what is expected in music.

McNastee - Pieces of a Broken Man
McNastee has been involved in the underground music scene for years. Making noise by bootlegging one of his own CD's titled "Bootleggin' 2004", allowing his fans download it for free. This is first solo record on Intrinzik Records but not the first with working with artists on this label as he lends a helping hand on The Intrinzik and Fall guys CD's. He is also involved in the group Separated at Birth. For this being an indie CD, the production on the CD is very diverse. Each track has a new fresh beat and fresh lyrics as well. McNastee has his own style. Most rappers rap so fast that you can not understand what they are saying. Which gives the listener a illusion that they have skill. Where he has paced it down to the compared to the common rapper in the rap world. Giving it, where you can feel him on every word he's saying. The track "Typical Love Song" you might expected on a emo rock CD. Then covering "Send Me An Angel," is definitely not something your expecting to hear on a rap CD. The CD has some collaborations with artists that are not well known but they fit the tracks they were put on, giving it a smooth and nice blend. Not to say all the artists are not well known. Proof of D12, which recently passed away, is on the album. Mcnastee has taken rap and made it his own style, making it hard to pin point the market for his music. If you looking for something original Mcnastee's "Pieces of a Broken Man" is here to feed your craving.

Michael Stollaire - Trinity
Mr. Stollaire has put out his CD "Trinity." The three song CD is a good rock and roll album for the independent music market. As far as it being outstanding, it's not. Nowadays with a flooded music market and everyone trying to be the next biggest music act Michael Stollaire is just ok, nothing too outstanding. The music is easy to listen to, nothing to runaway from or towards. In the end "Trinity" is safe music.

Mindless Self Indulgence - Our Pain, Your Gain [DVD]
This is one of those bands that people have a hard time putting into a category. After years of the fans of Mindless Self Indulgence wanting a DVD, well it has finally arrived in-stores (expect Wal-mart) for your hands to have. The DVD has a full length concert that was filmed at the Webster Hall in New York City in 2005. If that was not enough it has a tons of bonus content from videos, photos, to a great deal of fan input features. The main downside M.S.I. fans could find is it does not have backstage access to the band. So even watching the DVD you still can not go backstage with them, you are left at the stage with the other drunk girls. You can not complain, as the concert itself is finally captured them on film with all the crazy shit they are known for.

Mindless Self Indulgence - You'll Rebel to Anything [ORIGINAL RECORDING REMASTERED]
Mindless Self Indulgence have taken their 2005 release “You'll Rebel to Anything” and remastered the original recording from it. They also took all the bonus tracks from each version (explicit, clean, and vinyl) and place them in this one package, which some M.S.I. fans that did not have a vinyl record player can now hear “La Di Da Di.” They also put a live version of their hit “Whack.” This CD is not a must own, but a nice package for the M.S.I. fans around the world.

Mindless Self Indulgence - if
“If” is captivating and electrifying while being completely original. Mindless Self Indulgence is here to confuse the shit out of regular everyday people. At the same time M.S.I. takes the people below the outcast’s and gives them a place to feel normal. M.S.I. has been known for their outrageous music because of their previous releases [Frankenstein Girls Seem Strangely Sexy, You’ll Rebel, etc.]. “If” is no exception to this case but they might have even pushed the envelope farther with this release. Certain tracks such as “Mark David Chapman” and “Mastermind” will more than likely be used as references to put this album on the boycott list this year. Mindless Self Indulgence proves that ‘intelligent’ is a term to describe people who think outside the box and to my surprise they made that point with “If.”

Miz Mandy - In the Mix
If it's the weekend and it's girls night-out to cruise then Miz Mandy made a soundtrack of good music for you. Not to say a male audience is not or won't be there. "In the Mix" is one of those CD's that takes pop music and praises it. You can hate pop music, but you can't say she does not have soul or a singing ability. Both versions of "In The Mix" (Extended Spanish Version & Scotty K Radio Mix) are amazing tracks that show off talent of music, lyrics, as well Miz Mandy's vocals. One track titled "Diamond in the Rough" really shows of Mandy's talent with her vocal capability. In the likes of artists such as Justin Timberlake, Shakira and Pink, that have fans as young as 6 up to senior citizens, Miz Mandy is also one of those artists that can have a hugh audience with no age limits. It's only a matter of time before Miz Mandy becomes a household name. (MySpace.com/MizMandy)

Modern Life is War - Midnight in America
"So many children raised on welfare and T.V. It's easy to see how the circle remains unbroken. and I am one of the lucky ones." Punk is not dead it's just getting better with age and Modern Life is War is one of the acts showing it in their new CD "Midnight in America." With a lot of people feeling they fit in with American culture Modern Life is War is here to help you fit in. The high energy is showing from beginning to end with tracks like "Useless Generation" and "Night Shift at the Potato Factory." Taking metal, hard-core elements and old school punk attitude "Midnight in America," is one record that is brutally honest with their message. Close your eyes, put up your fits and scream along. Modern Life is War is here to kick some ass! (www.modernlifeiswar.net )

Monster House (DVD)
I can't believe this is a children's movie. Monster House may be the first true horror film for children. Unlike so many animated movies that offer lessons such as family is important and teamwork is good, Monster isn't looking to teach you. It's looking to scare you. And it does. The movie may be rated PG, but Monster 's clever use of sound and shadows will likely have parents flinching in their seats with the kids. Twelve-year-old pals DJ and Chowder, voiced by newcomers Mitchel Musso and Sam Lerner, suspect that something is amiss at the creepy house of old man Nebbercracker. When Nebbercracker is taken to the hospital with a heart attack, the boys decide to find out what's going on in the house that not only seems to eat kites and footballs, but also trespassers. The movie treats children with respect. And Gil Kenan doesn't coddle his young audience. He knows children like to be scared. This isn't a house filled with ghosts. The house is a ghost, and not all who approach it

The Monster Squad
You know who to call for ghosts but who do you call about monsters. This movie is the reason I loved the 80's. This movie is very similar to another 80's hit "The Goonies." The Monster Squad, much like the Goonies and the Lost Boys, is a kid's flick at heart, but it doesn't come off as if it were written and directed down to children. The flick stars Andre Gower, Ryan Lambert (of Kids Incorporated fame), Brent Chalem, Michael Faustino and Robby Kiger as a group of kids that have a secret Monster club where they pontificate on all things monster related. "Quick, two ways to kill a werewolf? Stumped? That's right, everyone knows you need to shoot 'em with a silver bullet." Anyway, the group runs into trouble when unbeknown to them the all too real rouges gallery of the classic Universal monster movies are converging on their town looking to destroy an amulet that can prevent them from taking over the world. Sean, the leader of the club, lucks into a copy of Van Helsing's diary, which provides the instructions to a ritual that will banish the monsters into limbo. With the help of "Scary German Guy" (played by the always excellent Leonardo Cimino) a concentration camp survivor and resident German diary translator, the group bands together to save their families, their town, and quite possibly the entire world. The film was directed by Fred Dekker and co-written by Fred Dekker and Shane Black (of Lethal Weapon and Predator fame) with amazing special effects and make-up by the legendary Stan Winston. This DVD was made possible by the director, actors, and fans who banded together in the past year through letter writing campaigns and revival screenings which proves just how much of a cult classic this flick is. If you are a generation X'er who's into action, horror or nostalgia the Monster Squad is sure to be a perfect addition to your DVD collection. The 20th anniversary special edition contains two audio commentary tracks, deleted scenes, a making of featurette, trailers, as well as a vintage interview with Frankenstein.

Moontagu - Written In Stone
Coming from the U.K, Moontagu has written their album "Written In Stone." This album, like a lot, are overlooked by people, when they should try something new. It's blues and classical influences makes for one enjoyable record. The musical and vocal ability of Moontagu is amazing to the ears. Each track has it's own creative way in making it one outstanding piece of music. One thing that makes this records unique is their is no front person since each member plays a major role in the album which is shown on the instramental track "Didg." When the main vocals are placed in the songs, some by Erle Moontagu and the others by Kathleen Moontagu, they have such a different feel from each other. At times it's hard to believe it's one album that is brought together to make great music. Musically and lyrically this is one great independent record.

Mower- Not for You
Here's a band that doesn't go over the top with making a rock CD. The layout is simple and right to the point. Mikey Doling (Snot,Soulfly) produced the CD. He did a great job without over producing it. This CD doesn't seem to be out to change the state of rock music today. It's a CD made by five guys that love to make rock music. The track "Road Rage" will give an anthem for people driving through traffic. It's the hard version of Ludacris' hit "Get Outta of The Way." Which gives metal heads a chance to put it in their stereo and drive. Where the track "American Psycho" pumps the listener to get in a mosh pit and have fun. With so many rock records coming out in rock this one has balls and it's not afraid to make a listener bang their head off. Radio stations fear records like this as it takes rock back and makes it hard again. If your in for something heavy with excellent guitar riffs, drum beats and something most radio stations won't play (as well maybe upsetting your parents), then this is the album for you. Mower will crush your ear drums.

The Motel
Under the radar of awards and recognition but still manages to tell a wonderful story of life. The Motel is labeled as a comedy such as Little Miss Sunshine was. Where I am one of the few people that did not understand where people could label it as a comedy over a drama. The movie is about a thirteen year old boy that trys so hard to fit in but never can accomplish it. Being asian, overweight, and working with his family at the family owned motel and hitting puberty, all in hard way. Well we all know puberty sucks and nobody knows it better than thirteen year old Ernest Chin. As he watches guests come and go, Ernest finds himself forever stuck at his family's houlry rate motel. He is forced to divide time between taking orders from his overbearing mom, cleaning up after the guests staying at the motel and longing over the girl of his dreams, a fifteen year old girl by the name of Christine. He lacks the courarge to tell her how he feels, that is until a charismatic Sam Kim checks into the motel and takes fatherless Ernest for a wild ride towards manhood, for better or worse. The Motel is a wonderful reminder that adult life is never as difficult as puberty was. The film is not rated but due to a couple scenes with vulgar lanuage and some sexual situations this film lies on a strong PG-13 to a mild R rating.

National Product - Luna
One of the best bands to finally hit a national audience. Fans like myself are so happy and excited to see National Product put out this record, "Luna." Luna has it all from catchy songs to emotional feelings backing it. The song that stood out a little more then the others was the track "Sean Song." In which they turn a negative situation into a positive outlet, with a personal meaning behind it. Fans of the overall rock genre should be able to find great things about this record as it has it all. From the arrangement of music to thought provoking lyrics.

A Nightmare on Elm Street: Limited Special - DVD
So how many times can New Line Cinema release A Nightmare on Elm Street DVD? Well on this version it has many of the same features as the other versions put out on DVD. With the Halloween season right around the corner, this version will please new and old fans a like with new artwork. If this film is not in your collection, it's a must have. However if you already own the film on DVD, I would suggest not running too fast to the store yet. There's not too many special features on this version that are not already released on the previous version on the market. If you are trying to own every version of the film printed, well New Line has added another for you to own.

Nine Inch Nails - The Slip
It’s a little to late to act original now isn‘t it. Nine Inch Nails put this CD up on-line on Monday, May 5th 2008. Nine Nails Fans are probably acting as if this is a revolutionary thought to let fans download the music for free. Trent did offer fans multiple formats in which to download the music in such as .MP3 .WAV .WMA and many more. The music does stand up and it is actually good music but definitely not amazing. If this would have came out before “With Teeth” NIN might have actually kept the old fan base. Due to the numerous statements that Trent Reznor has made about the state of music on top of weak albums it seems the old fans are getting really tired of it. “The Slip is worth a download but only the NIN addicts will go out and buy a physical copy from a record store. The Order (DVD)
The passing of Heath Ledger early this year is leaving a hole in the cinema world. Media outlets focused on his main box office hit “Broke Back Mountain.” I myself found his acting in “The Order” to be phenomenal despite the script. This is proof that real actors can triumph even with bad movies. Alex Bernier (Ledger) is a member of an arcane order of priests known as Carolingians. When the head of the order dies, Alex is sent to Rome to investigate mysterious circumstances surrounding the death. The body bears strange marks on the chest which may or may not be the sign of a Sin Eater (Furmann); a renegade who offers absolution, last rites and therefore a path to heaven outside the jurisdiction of the church. Alex enlists the aid of his old comrade Father Thomas (Addy) and of a troubled artist (Sossamon) upon whom he once performed an exorcism. He soon finds himself plunged into a mystery only to find him at the heart of it.

The Omen (DVD)(2006)
If you can overlook its glaring redundancy, The Omen is a faithful and well-crafted remake that does adequate justice to Richard Donner's popular 1976 orginal. It's a completely unnecessary film, given that David Seltzer's original screenplay wasn't even rewritten (as would normally happen with a Hollywood remake), but when viewed with fresh eyes, or by anyone who's unfamiliar with the original, it retains most of the serious, intelligently plotted chills that made Donner's horror thriller a box-office sensation. It skews to a younger audience (of course), with Liev Schreiber and Julia Stiles in the roles originated by Gregory Peck and Lee Remick. As newly-promoted U.S. Ambassador to England Robert Thorn and his troubled wife Katherine, they grow increasingly suspicious that their young son Damien (Seamus Davey-Fitzpatrick) may be the devil incarnated. An anxious Roman priest (Pete Postelthwaite) and a freelance photographer (David Thewlis, in the role memorably originated by David Warner) are equally terrified of this Satanic scenario, and Damien's new and eerily protective nanny (played to perfection by Mia Farrow) adds further evidence of Damien's malevolence, as Vatican prophesies of Armageddon are rapidly fulfilled. Director John Mooreffers a few minor improvements in suspense and gruesomeness (including a more graphically inventive death for a prominent character), but he's also hampered by the weaker presence of Davey-Fitzpatrick, who's not nearly as creepy as the original film's Damien. Otherwise, this copy of The Omen justifies its existence as a worthwhile diversion for stormy-night viewing
OPM - California Poppy
OPM's highly successful debut MENACE TO SOBRIETY reached #22 on Billboard's Heat seekers Chart. On their sophomore effort they released FOR THE MASSES and now they are onto their third full-length release. This So-Cal based group shows you can have talent and not be on a major label. California Poppy is a relaxing mellow CD which brings out the best with songs like "For Tonight." You can easily put California Poppy on in your car and find your self cruising Sunset BLVD and just enjoy life. While songs like "Born Again Virgin," will have you singing out some fun lyrics. This CD is for people love music because it helps them escape every day life.

Over The Hedge (DVD)
The manicured lawns and overstuffed garbage cans of suburbia become a buffet for woodland creatures in Over the Hedge. A self-centered raccoon named RJ (voiced by Bruce Willis, Die Hard) steals and accidentally destroys the hoard of an angry bear (Nick Nolte, 48 Hours), who gives the raccoon a week to replace it. RJ despairs--until he meets an odd gang of foragers, ranging from a turtle named Verne (Garry Shandling, The Larry Sanders Show), a father/daughter duo of opossums (the bizarre pairing of William Shatner and pop singer Avril Lavigne), a family of porcupines (with A Mighty Wind's Eugene Levy and Catherine O'Hara as the parents), and a hyperactive squirrel named Hammy (Steve Carell, The 40 Year Old Virgin). By convincing these friendly beasts that the suburban homesteads on the other side of a recently erected hedge are a mother-lode of cast-off food, RJ hopes to dupe them into doing his gathering. But when the suburban residents realize they've been invaded by woodland pests, an exterminator is called to take care of the problem. The overarching storyline of Over the Hedge is pure formula--your basic "family matters more than anything" lesson--but moment to moment, the movie is delightfully crisp and clever. The animation is top-notch, the acting is excellent (other voices include those of Allison Janney, The West Wing, and Thomas Haden Church, Sideways), and the satirical jabs at consumerism are actually funny. An above-average animated movie

Panic! At the Disco (Boxset)
No. 17889 out of 25,000. We got our hands on one of the most sought out Christmas gifts for dance kids in 2006. So how much of a Panic! At The Disco fan are you? Would put down the $50 for this set. If so, I got to tell you so much work went into this set. It's crazy the description about the set doesn't even give it the justice it deserves. This limited box set comes with a CD of "A Fever You Can't Sweat Out," a DVD, poster, photos, a journal, tour program, a Certificate of Authenticity, as well other enjoyable stuff for a Panic! fan. The CD has a total new look to it and it comes in a CD sleeve with retro artwork of records that were put out in the 60's. The CD its self has a record stamp on it. The DVD has the entire live show of Panic! playing live, with interviews and other good stuff on it. Who would think one record out and a band could put a kick ass box set like this.

Panic At The Disco - Pretty Odd
One of the most anticipated records for 2008 was Panic At The Disco’s second record. I consider “Pretty Odd” the second novel in a series to come. The sound is not to far away from their debut record as some might have thought it would be. “Pretty Odd” has a very heavy Beatles feel to it. “Pretty Odd” is not, nor should be, the best Panic At The Disco record ever. “Pretty Odd” is a good follow up to “A Fever You Can’t Sweat Out.“ Panic did not over or under produce this album but rather made a record for their millions of fans to enjoy. With this album they have matured and the sound will bring a new batch of fans. People will tell you that a second record makes or breaks you, so with that said “Pretty Odd” will not be over looked nor will the band be under the mainstream radar anytime soon.

The Panic Division - Songs From The Glasshouse
The Militia Group recording artist The Panic Division have followed up their previous record "Versus" with "Songs from The Glasshouse. As the first record "Versus" was quickly placed into the emo genre by critics but nowadays almost every band that comes out is automatically placed into that genre in some way. "Songs From The Glasshouse" takes you deep into the experimental realm. The record has a lot more keyboards and samples which adds a whole new dynamic to them. There are songs about love and women but there is also short stories that have been turned into songs such as Chiodos and Circa Survive have become underground sensations for. As most bands try so hard to capture the same sound they had before, The Panic Division actually took a challenge on themselves and made a new record.

Pan's Labyrinth
Dark but with beauty beyond that hold no bars to which it goes. Inspired by the Brothers Grimm, Jorge Luis Borges, and Guillermo del Toro's own unlimited imagination, Pan's Labyrinth is a fairytale for adults. Ofelia may only be 12, but the worlds she inhabits, both above and below ground, are as dark as anything del Toro has conjured. Set in rural Spain, circa 1944, Ofelia and her widowed mother, Carmen , have just moved into an abandoned mill with Carmen's new husband, Captain Vidal . Carmen is pregnant with his son. Other than her sickly mother and kindly housekeeper Mercedes , the dreamy Ofelia is on her own. Vidal, an exceedingly cruel man, couldn't be bothered. He has informers to torture. Ofelia soon finds that an entire universe exists below the mill. Her guide is the persuasive Faun . As her mother grows weaker, Ofelia spends more and more time in the satyr's labyrinth. He offers to help her out of her predicament if she'll complete three treacherous tasks. Ofelia is willing to try. But does this alternate reality really exist or is it all in her head? Del Toro leaves that up to the viewer to decide. The rating, Rated R, is over rated, as it's used for a dark image or two. Nothing worse then a typical PG-13 movie. It does carry subtitles throughout the film, which some viewers may not find appealing.

Paramore - All We Know Is Falling
This is the debut album by a very young band from Tennessee. Singer Hayley Williams is only 16 years old, and, judging from the band's web site forum, most of their fans are about the same age. But this album should significantly broaden the band's appeal; it's earnest emo in the vein of Jimmy Eat World or Armor for Sleep, but less dark and more poppy. The production is clean, the choruses are memorable, and hooks are aplenty. Williams' confident vocals belie her youth, and, having already scored a slot on this year's Warped Tour, the band looks set for bigger and better things ahead.

Passafire - Submersible
Law Records recording artist Passafire bring their debut record "Submersible." Passafire brings reggae to a youth audience that has ignored the genre now. With a positive outlook and deep meaningful lyrics, Passafire proves to be a genuine act on the market and not a product of record companies. Which is refreshing nowadays, to hear a simple record that hits hard.

Patrick Cornell - This Much is True
24 minutes later and I still want more! In mos cases you put a CD on skip and then skip again, just to get to the good parts of the CD. Patrick Cornell put out his six song CD " This Much is True." This rock/alternative act has put out one amazing CD. From the beginning to end it is filled with amazing good music. To pinpoint one good track is way too hard, but one track that did stand out a little more then the others is the second track "Silently Insane." This is just a great rock song from start to end. Patrick put out a music CD that doesn't feel like a product, but real music.

Peter Paul Parker - Stepping Up
Peter Paul Parker took solo and meant it. Peter wrote, performed and produced “Stepping Up.” “Stepping Up” is a solid mellow rock album filled with solid melodies. The production has a mellow touch making for an easy listen. This might not be the best record ever but it definitely worth checking out.

Act: Every Second Counts Tour: "Plain White T's"
Date: Thursday, March 22nd, 2007
Venue: House of Blues
Location: Las Vegas, Nevada
It's a Thursday night, almost the weekend but not quite at the House of Blues in Las Vegas. The crowd was there for the sensational pop-punk act "The Plain White T's." The crowd varies in age from the thirteen year old teens to the middle age adults. The Plain White T's hit the stage with no over the top intro, but came out just playing their music with such hits as "Hey There Delilah" and "Hate(I Really Don't like You)." The crowd being a small one of roughly a thousand, showed off the energy of a huge arena show. As the Plain White T's played their hour set they feed off the crowd participation. Towards the end of the show singer Tom came out with just his guitar and played their hit single "Hey There Delilah" acoustic. Then the whole band came out and played one more song to please the high energy crowd. For the hour set the Plain White T's, put one amazing fun show. After the lights came on in the House of Blues the crowd as well as I wanted more. It was just a genuine feel good rock show. MySpace.com/PlainWhiteTs

Pierce The Veil - A Flair for the Dramatic
Pierce The Veil has taken influences from the music they grew up on and made one of the best CD's of this year. The reason I give them so much credit because they are not ashamed of not being one hundred percent original for the music market at this time. I know a lot of people will blow this record and call it another evil torch to the already dreaded genre of "Emo," however, it is a fresh look on the genre as it incorporates hard-core, alternative, and rock. "Chemical Kids and Mechanical Brides" is the first track and truly is one of the best tracks to start off the record. It is one of the most diverse songs I have heard in a long while. The track that truly blew me away was "I'd Rather Die then be Famous," which starts off hard and then goes all over the place. Pierce The Veil is one of the bands to watch to see where they go from here with this being their first release. They have set the map to go any direction they chose from where they are now.

Pirates of The Caribbean: At Word's End [Single Disc]
Will Turner, Elizabeth Swarnn, Captain Barbosa, and Captain Jack Sparrow are at the world's end. In this third installment, supposed final chapter from the Pirates series. At World's End brings back the regular cast of the pirates and some special guests. There are many good things about this film, the first it tells a simple action story. The next is the special effects are amazing and add great detail to the story. The big downside is unlike the previous two, you didn't need to watch the other ones to make a decent story from them. This one can be enjoyed some what on it's own, but it ties a lot of the other story lines into play in this one. For being the final chapter you can tell by the ending there will be more movies to come from this. The single disc edition has one special feature which is only bloopers from the shooting of the film. I did enjoy the film but not enough to fetch for the double disc edition.

Phunk Junkeez - Hydro Phonix
Get out your seat and shake your ass off and come join the party. The Phunk Junkeez have finally put out a new CD "Hydro Phonix." I know people are saying, "the Phunk Junkeez are still around, huh?" Hydro Phonix is not a come back record but rather a record to prove they still rock out and have fun like when they were sixteen. Tracks like "Join in" and "In The Summer Time" are smooth party joints that get you in on the Phunk Junkeez party groove."Pimp Shit" has to be one of the best hip hop rock tracks on the record proving Soulman can rap and rock out. Who cares what label they are on now because it's a well known fact they still and will always be the Phunk Junkeez that are always here to start the party.

Project 86 - Rival Factions
Project 86 is making their landmark sixth studio album, which many bands nowadays can only dream of doing. One of the most hardest and underrated bands on the market to date. Project 86 took their sound and level of music to a new dimension with Rival Factions. Rival Factions is one fresh breath of air in a industry were things become more about being a product then having an artistic point of view and creativity. The arrangement of music hits hard to experimental with this release. As a listener of Rival Faction you can look deep into the songs for meaning or at face value and still enjoy the record. One of the tracks that gives an old feel with a new outlook on things is "Pull Me Closer, Violent Dancer." Just like the landmark band Tool, Project 86 took a lot of time in detail into the packaging of this album. It makes the consumer go into a retail outlet and purchase a physical copy, where as downloading the music from iTunes or illegally you won't get the full idea of the record. Once again a band has stood up to the plate to make it worth your hard earned money to purchase this record compared to downloading it.

Protest the Hero - Fortress
It's time for a battle! Protest the Hero has just released their new album, “Fortress,” with a touch of insanity that allows the listeners to take the music for what it is. This well thought album has a bigger than life feel, or as some might say an epic feel. “Fortress” has amazing instrument arrangements with odd time measures. Being only in their 20's Protest the Hero has accomplished one rock album that put the ‘Rock' in rock and roll.

PotLuck - Straight outta Humboldt
At first glance of the CD you might get the impression this is a hardcore ganstar rap album, by the cover, but that is not the case with this CD. It's a rap album with a hip-hop mentality. With an opening track like "Rock the Word," it grabs the listener and hold them as it shows how the west coast rocks it. PotLuck has been making noise in the underground world for a while now releasing two independent CD's. Straight Outta Humboldt is the first CD they have done with Suburban Noize Records. It proves on the CD that not all record companies are bad. With skit's like "Meeting the Boss," where Kevin Zinger, the founder of Suburban Noize Records, does a fake "meeting." It shows that it's not all serious and that even founder's like Zinger can make a listener laugh for it shows it is not a serious meeting with the boss. The collaborations on the CD are amazing. They have artists such as The Luniz, Tech N9ne, Krizz Kaliko, Chli 2Na, Twiztid, E-40, & Bosko on Straight Outta Humboldt. They rap about various parts of their lives from the party life style to the serious part of life. Potluck has done what some artists have not done in their whole career and that's to make music that is universal.

Various Artists - Punk Goes Crunk'
Fearless Records has put together another great compilation. They have put out great compilations such as “Punk Goes Pop,” “Punk Goes 80’s,” Punk Goes Acoustic,” and many more. This time they have crossed the line into hip-hop by putting together “Punk Goes Crunk.” Some of the artists on this record are Set Your Goals, Say Anything, All Time Low and The Devil Wears Prada. Every group takes you across the board of Rap/R&B hits from “Still Fly,” “California Love,” “Nothing But a G Thing,” and even newer hit‘s like “Umbrella.” Each group can convince you that they are the original writer of the song. “Punk Goes Crunk” is the record you can dance to or rock out to and not feel out of place. This album is hard enough for the G’s but just right for the scene kids.

Pusher - A Walk in the Park
Reading that these guys had problems playing one on their tracks live called "Fuck You," I was under the impression this music would have some what of a younger feel to it. Listening to this CD you can find these guys have heart but the music is similar to Staind. It's late night and you find your self at a bar, this the music you find in the background. There's a million band in each city with this similar style. So it's easy to say you probably won't see these guys signing to any major label or doing a huge national tour anytime soon.
