Walls of Jericho - Redemption EP
Most people know and love Walls Of Jericho for the fact that they are a 5-piece band that is fronted by Candace Kucsulain who has the vocals to rival many other females in the screamo/hardcore scene and also some of the men in the scene. Walls of Jericho are now back with a brand new EP which is totally unlike anything they have made before. This time around the band has taken a totally different approach and taken on the idea of making an acoustic EP. I know what you may be saying that they've whimped out on us or have gone soft. This may come as a shock to some of the bands fans and will come as a pleasant surprise to others. Everybody here knows that Walls Of Jericho plays hardcore in general but they will be surprised to discover that their new EP is an acoustic release. This is strange for a really aggressive band, but not so strange if you have listened to their last album as the hinted at it with the song "No Saving Me."

Wassup Rockers
Larry Clark is one of the most controversial directors to date. With his third release, "Wassup Rockers," it seems he went back to the style he used in "Kids." That style is what got him noticed to begin with. Instead of adhering to the norms of their South Central neighborhood, a group of skater boys opt to bus into Hollywood and Beverly Hills, where they attract local rich girls - and plenty of trouble with the police, jealous boyfriends, and nervous parents. What is most disturbing about viewing this film is the fact it doesn't seem like a movie but a documentary. In the same essence as "Kids," this is one of those films that make the average teen viewer feel a strong connection with the film. As the parents, viewing will cause paranoia between them and their child. The extra features is an extra scene and a commentary track with Director Larry Clark.

We're All Angels [2007]
We're All Angels is the amazing story of rising stars Jason and deMarco, two attractive pop stars - both Christian and gay and lovers. The pair writes and sings about their love for Jesus. They record in their Texas studio and perform concerts all over the country, from churches and schools to dance clubs and pride events. With their new album they are on the verge of crossing over into mainstream pop. But in the world of evangelical Christianity, their very existence is a source of controversy. For once a love story and tale of religious struggle and a musical journey that knows no bounds. Their story lies on the frontlines of the war between spirituality and sexuality. It celebrates the power of music, the bonds of community, the liberation of self-acceptance, and taboo of homosexual love. We're All Angels is a love story that can be seen on the cable network Showtime. This movie will be getting a DVD release very soon. This is worth checking out. Homophobia is the biggest fear our country has and this movie proves that gay people deserve rights more than ever. Love is Love is Love.

A Wilhelm Scream - Career Suicide
Is punk dead or does it just suck now? Well if your a member in A Wilhelm Scream it's only getting better. "Career Suicide" is what the youth of the nation needs more then they need their TMZ fix. Thirteen tracks to rock out or better yet punk out to. One of the tracks that stood out was "We Built This City (On Debts and Booze)." The title for the record fits so well with "Career Suicide" for most could find A Wilhelm Scream to be offensive and rude. If your willing to look and question authority as well as party a little bit A Wilhelm Scream might make your mom fear rock and roll lyrics again, as well as make an outcast not feel alone.

Wrist Cutters: A Love Story
Director Goran Dukic, adapting a short story by Etgar Keret, presents an afterlife for those who kill themselves, that looks pretty dreary, full of broken-down cars rotting on roadsides, roommates obsessed with cottage cheese, cops who don’t inspire a lot of confidence, and messianic losers promising paradise if only the dead commit suicide all over again. Into the mucky mediocrity comes Zia (Patrick Fugit), a nice young man who opens his veins and ends up in this limbo for losers. There he takes a menial job and finds an unlikely friend in Eugene (Shea Whigham), a laconic Russian rocker, and meets apathetic girls in a lousy bar. The monotony of it all is broken up, finally, when Zia gets word that his girlfriend, back on the mortal plane, also killed herself prompting him to take Eugene on the road in search of her. Naturally, the trip becomes a journey in unexpected new directions and new hope particularly when a comely hitchhiker, played by Shannyn Sossamon, jumps aboard. This movie is full of low-key wit and intentionally low-rent surprises, Wrist cutters is a vision of the persistence of the human heart even in the most somber circumstances.

Wrong Turn 2 [Unrated]
Straight to DVD was perfect for this release for so many reasons. The first offense is the bad script and horrible acting. Next was the bad special effects from a major studio. The special effects and make up don't even touch Stan Winston's team that worked on the first Wrong Turn. If you are like me and love horror movies and log onto web sites that base themselves around the horror genre, then you seen the quotes such as "Fox Studios messed up by Releasing the Hill Have Eyes 2 to theatres and not the Wrong Turn 2." This one was my favorite quote for this film "Wrong Turn 2, takes horror back to what it is known for blood and guts." However after watching this piece of shit I came to the conclusion they were bought off to get you, the consumer, to buy the film. The biggest insult was Henry Rollins being in this film and him being the most advertised actor in the film. I can not blame Henry for doing the film, he got his money. This film is an insult to the horror community and the movie cinema community as well. The Unrated factor in this film is the only thing they did right by not showing this in theatres. Jumping the bullshit rating Factor that could maybe made it a little better. If you are still curious on this film I would recommend you wait until it gets on a cable channel.

X-Men: The Last Stand (DVD)
X-Men: The Last Stand is the third installment in the popular superhero franchise, and it's an exciting one with a splash of fresh new characters. When a scientist named Warren Worthington II announces a "cure" for mutant powers, it raises an interesting philosophical question: is mutant power a disease that needs a cure, or is it a benefit that homo superior enjoys over "normal" human beings? No surprise that Magneto (Ian McKellen) and his Brotherhood of Evil Mutants resist the idea that they need to be cured, and declare war on the human race. But it's a little tougher for the X-Men, led by Professor X (Patrick Stewart), Cyclops (James Marsden), and Storm (Halle Berry). If you're Rogue (Anna Paquin), for example, your power means you can't even touch your boyfriend, Iceman (Shawn Ashmore). To compound matters, someone previously thought dead has returned, and might be either friend or foe. With director Bryan Singer having moved on to Superman Returns, the franchise passes to the hands of Brett Ratner (Rush Hour), whose best work is done in the big action sequences such as a showdown between mutant armies. But it's difficult to manage the sheer volume of characters when adding longtime comic-book stalwarts such as Beast (Kelsey Grammer) and Angel (Ben Foster), and one character in particular deserved better than an off-screen dismissal. And fans of the original Dark Phoenix from the comic book series might be underwhelmed by the movie's resolution. X-Men: The Last Stand is presumably the last film in the series, but the ambiguous ending leaves possibilities open.

You, Me, And Everyone We Know - Party For The Grown and Sexy
Drive Thru Recording artist You, Me, and Everyone We Know took their E.P. and gave it away for free. The songs of You, Me and Everyone We Know seems to emerge from the shadows alternating monologues of spite and discontent with rhapsodies of inordinate joy. But peer through the veil of havoc, and it's clear this band seeks a new, if unnerving, way to rock its way to the truth. Their CD "Party for the Grown and Sexy," is impressing fans and critics alike.[ Download The Music for Free]

YouInSeries - Outside we are fine
Did Bjork hide her kids, and we didn't know it. In a genre based on crying or poppy dance beats, YouInSeries will give the new generation of kids a smooth blend of lyrics and music. Tracks like" The Watcher" & "Get Comfortable Not Knowing" have a very high energy feel to it, while songs like" Lose Faith in the Truth" has a feel of Sade's hit "Smooth Operator." Maybe one day this CD will be considered ground breaking, for the next step in a genre of emotional music. Unfortunately, in an industry filled with tons of bands, this will more then likely get over looked by music listeners.

Yvette Rovira - The Art Of Attraction
Astrology is something some of us can’t even comprehend. Yvette Rovira took astrological signs and based her record “The Art Of Attraction” around them. She took the element of being human in day to day relationships and placed the perfect mixture of pop and dance behind it that everyone can relate too and understand. Yvette Rovira is ready for the entire universe with her music for everyone to enjoy.

Zero1zero - [degreesofseparation]
With many industrial fans turning their backs on Nine Inch Nails, for what ever reason, hopefully, not turning their backs on the genre. Zero1Zero brings "[degreesofseparation]" with hard hitting music and smart lyrics. Zero1zero has the sound of the future that sounds cool to the ears at the very least. "DeadT0Me" has to be one of my favorite tracks from the record, it is very hard hitting with emotional lyrics to back it. Zero1zero has to be one of the acts to watch to just see where they will go with their career. It looks very promising from this end.
